Etsy Shop Items

Working on some new things for my Etsy shop. New pillow covers are not listed yet, but will be next week. It's time for me to be a little more productive, though I have enjoyed doing whatever I wanted to do for myself. Here is one of the pillow covers I'm working on.

This one is an Ole Miss cover, red burlap on navy blue large chevron. The next one will be for MSU, of course. I, also, have some summery, beachy pillow covers I will list next week. I haven't made pictures, yet. We had rainy weather last week, so that's my excuse.

I will be posting again next week. I really am going to try hard to work on this blog. Just always something gets my attention first.

Go check out my shop when you get a chance.

No longer sugarbumps creations!

Just recently, I have changed the name of this blog and the name of my Etsy store to Southern Cottage Style. My interests have started leaning more toward totes, accessories and home decor. That could be because I have been working on new things for my home and totes that I sell locally,

Here are some of the pillows I have done. I will be doing pillow covers for Etsy, some appliqued, some not.
And here are some of the kitchen towels.

News From Sugarbumps Creations

Well, as usual, I haven't posted in quite sometime. I know I should do better, but I get so distracted with my sewing. Right now, I have been sewing for a granddaughter who will be going to MSU for her second year of college. I've been working on things for her apartment: shower curtain, pillows, etc. And I have had lots of orders for totes. I have items, also, in a local boutique here in Tupelo, Mississippi: Southern Roots Boutique. You can find her on Facebook, by the way. My church's Tupelo Campus, also carries my totes. I'm working on some appliqued pillows to sell, right now.

It's definitely summertime here in Mississippi, and I plan on going to Orange Beach, Alabama in August for a few days away from home. My husband and I haven't gotten away for such a long time, and I am so looking forward to it. So, I'll probably be doubling up on my sewing until then.

I'll share with you some of the items I have been working on these last months.

So, that's what I've been doing, among other things. I've also been working on clothing for the children in the Philippines. My church, NorthStar, goes on mission trips there twice a year, and they take my clothing to the children. So thankful that I can do something, even small.

Thanks for following along. Who knows, maybe I'll get on here more often. I would like to do that, as it's a great way to share with others. Happy Fourth, people!!

I'm Still Here

Well, it's been probably a year since I posted anything on this blog. What can I say? I'm just not that good at this. But I have done other things, like sew and make new things for Etsy. So I'll share some of the things I've made.

These are a few gowns I've appliqued and done some hand embroidery to. I think they are so sweet. Wish I had a baby to give one to, but they are listed in my Etsy shop.

Also, I've begun making some totes. I just love a big tote I can throw everything into, and these are also listed in my Etsy shop.

I have new appliques on Etsy for Christmas. Slow sales for some reason. Last year I couldn't keep up, but I won't complain. Just gives me more time to spend with my family. I have lots to do for the holidays. How about you? Cookies to make with a few grandchildren, gifts to finish.

Hope all have a merry Christmas. Remember to thank our Heavenly Father for sending His Son to save us.

Crochet Along

I'm doing my first ever crochet along with Inner Hooker at Here is a picture of just a few of my sunburst grannies. I've done way more than these, and I will add pictures later.

I'm really enjoying this, but I've got to catch up to the others. I started about a week late.
